Reach for the light
I was at the Marine Drive promenade, right opposite NCPA, when I happened to spot my favourite tree. I don’t know what its called, but I like their ‘leafless’ look. I had the lensbaby on and was trying to figure the focus when I noticed this kid come and sit a few feet away from me. I figure the focus the best I can (its been ages since I focused manually) and take the photo and just when I the preview appears on the LCD of the camera, this kid has zipped right in and is peeking into the LCD along with me. So I press the playback and show him the photo and I did detect a hint of him being unimpressed / confused as to what I had shot and why.

Building mesh
One of my favourite night-time buildings, the Hilton Towers at Nariman Point, seemed like a good candidate for the lensbaby and its selective blurring.

Sunset over the city
Was a lazy evening at home when I spotted this great looking sunset. It would have probably looked better over the sea, but I did mention it was a lazy evening.

Stairway
About a year back, I was at the Kingfisher lounge, Mumbai airport, waiting for an event to begin. It was the airborne launch of Ajmal perfumes in Mumbai. While everyone was waiting for the flight boarding to start, I pointed the camera under the staircase and the warm lighting there.

Amboli Waterfall
Enroute from Ajra to Goa, there’s a hillstation called Amboli. As with most hillstations in Maharasthra, the roads leading to them and away from them are dotted with waterfalls of differing strenghts, this being the biggest in that area. Since the monsoons were long gone, there was hardly any water falling, so its more of a water trickle rather than a waterfall. Also, as with most, if not all, Indian ‘tourist attractions’, there’s a generous dose of graffiti all over the place. (Only the religious tourist attractions are spared, for obvious reasons)

Little angel by the streetside
On the same blisteringly hot Sunday that I got baked under a blazing hot Mumbai sun while checking out the sports car drive, I took refuge under a tree right outside Rhythm House. Just when I was ready to pack the camera in, I spotted this little baby sleeping blissfully in a sari hammock, in all the commotion that was happening all around her.
